Home MenuThe Gateway Cities Council of Governments' (GCCOG) is collaborating with the City of Hawaiian Gardens, HP Communications, and American Dark Fiber on the Fiber Optic Network Project. This initiative aims to enhance fiber optic infrastructure, creating a new regional fiber network designed to bridge the digital divide and ensure high-speed internet access for all.
LIST OF STREETS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Norwalk Blvd from Carson St to 226th St.
Pioneer Blvd from Carson St to 221st St.

| Crews will mark the ground and set flags to indicate the presence of underground utilities as well as the planned path for the fiber line. | “No parking” signs will be posted. Please read the dates and times of the restrictions. |
| Crews will place traffic control, k-rails or other equipment to separate the work area from the traveling public. | Please do not enter the construction zone. |
| Crews will use a boring method to install the fiber line underground within the limits. | Lane closures or restrictions may be needed. Signs will be posted. |
WHAT TO EXPECT
Contractor Notices: Look out for notices providing additional details about the work being done on your street.
Current Service: Your current internet service will remain uninterrupted throughout the installation process. However, there may be a brief disruption when the crews connect the new service lines.
Noise: There will be noise and increased activity in the area,
but we’ll aim to keep disruptions to a minimum.
WORKING DAYS AND HOURS
Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm, except Holidays and occasional weekends.
