The Mary Rodriguez Senior Center in conjunction with the Human Services Association’s congregate meal program, offers seniors ages 60 and over a hot, nutritionally-balanced meal five days a week. Program registration is required prior to participation, if you would like more information please contact Human Services Association congregate meal site manager at (562) 420-2641 ext. 238

The City of Hawaiian Gardens contracts with the Human Services Association to provide a nutritious home delivered meal Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays). To qualify the senior must be 60 years and older and homebound.

Introduction: 

The Mary Rodriguez Senior Center has partnered with the Community Action

Partnership of Orange County to provide monthly food boxes for our low income seniors’ ages 60 years and older (must qualify under federal assistance guidelines). Each eligible person receives a box of food weighing approximately 32 pounds, including milk, canned veggies, fruit, soup, and cheese.

Arts & Crafts

Most Mondays we get together in the craft room to learn a new craft, knit or Crochet after the lunch program.

Billiards

Pool tables are open Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Senior Conference Room is an open space where seniors can read a book, use one of five available senior computers, or just relax.  

The room is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
